Treetops ResortTREETOPS RESORT

(855) 437-2189 is unquestionably the headliner for an impressive list of golf resorts and courses in Gaylord, Michigan - a destination recognized annually as the premier "golf mecca" of the Midwest. Incomparable by design, Treetops boasts 81 holes of championship golf, two separate practice facilities, two clubhouses, newly renovated guest rooms, luxurious condominiums, two restaurants and a sports bar, and an abundance of recreational and leisure activities. Indoor and outdoor pools, saunas, hot tubs, a fitness center, tennis and sand volleyball courts, a wellness spa, and massage therapy compliment award winning children's programs to make this truly a family destination. To top it off, the Treetops Golf Academy offers a wide range of programs designed to suit your needs. The impressive Treetops acreage features two areas (about a ten minutes' drive from one another) - the original property with most of the resorts guest rooms along with the Robert Trent Jones Masterpiece, and Treetops North with 63 holes of unparalleled golf, condominium accommodations and home sites. The list of awards received by this resort is too extensive to mention - we will name a few: "Top 50 International Resorts" and ranked third (behind Pinehurst and Pebble Beach) for Golf Design - Conde Nast Traveler (June 2000); "Americas Top 25 Golf Schools" Golf Magazine (2001); All four courses ranked 4 to 4 1/2 stars (out of 5) by Golf Digest (2001) Visit the Two Guys Who Golf information page for Treetops by clicking here. Visit the Treetops website at www.treetops.com for information or to make online reservations.

We stayed in one of their comfortable deluxe guest rooms, which featured first class amenities including ample space, a refrigerator, microwave, and jacuzzi tub. With a rollaway, the room slept 3 comfortably. In our building, there was a wonderful pool area with hot tubs, saunas, workout facility, game room, and a salon. It was much appreciated that this facility was open until midnight. The practice area, which includes a grass range, putting & chipping greens with a practice bunker is within walking distance, as is the famed Masterpiece - the original Treetops course designed by Robert Trent Jones in 1986.

You will find great conditioning, service, and unparalleled golfing options. You probably will not lower your handicap, but will have a lot of fun trying. If you have not visited Northern Michigan (and particularly the Gaylord area) in a while - treat yourself. No matter how many upscale properties are opened in the southern and middle portion of the state, or in and around the Midwest - Northern Michigan will always be a special place. Treetops leads the way!
