Treetops Resort is a 7-time recipient of Golf Magazine's Silver Medal Award as one of the finest resorts in the United States, was ranked #32 in America's Top 75 Golf Resorts by Golf Digest (March 2002), and has been recognized as one of the Top 50 International Resorts (Conde Nast Traveler June 2000). Only Pinehurst and Pebble Beach were ranked higher for Golf Design by the Conde Nast Magazine. Located just 5 miles east of Gaylord and 10 minutes from I-75, Treetops offers 72 holes of championship golf, and also features Threetops - recognized as the #1 par three course in the country, and annual host to the nationally acclaimed Shootout on ESPN. It is the only golf complex in the country to boast a combination of designs by Rick Smith, Robert Trent Jones Sr., and Tom Fazio and is the only golf resort in Michigan with three courses honored as 4-1/2 star courses by golf digest places to play. The Treetops Golf Academy, including the popular Ladies Golf School and Junior Golf Camp are also part of their extensive programs.

Treetops Resort is open year-round, with golf and skiing as the main seasonal draws. There are 23 downhill ski runs, 20 k of machine-groomed cross-country trails, terrain parks and Extreme tubing.

The Lodge at the main resort now features a full lobby, fireplace and comfortable seating around a large screen television. Amenities in this building include high speed internet access and cable service featuring hundreds of stations! 2017 brings a $4.5 million renovation to both the Lodge and the Inn.

81 holes of spectacular golf provide breathtaking views of the panoramic Pigeon River Valley. The Jones Masterpiece Course is on the main resort property, and also features a grass driving range, short game area with practice bunker, and putting green. Treetops North is a few miles down the road (a beautiful drive) and features the Fazio and both Smith Courses, as well as the par 3 Threetops.

This property has its own clubhouse with restaurant/lounge and pro shop, and also features an expansive (and uniquely undulating) putting green, along with a tiered grass range .The views all around are incredible here.

Accommodations at the resort include 252 standard and deluxe hotel rooms, and hospitality rooms, plus lodging at 2 and 3 bedroom condominiums and 4 bedroom resort homes. Amenities range from rooms appointed simply, to those featuring refrigerators, microwaves, kitchenettes and Jacuzzis.

The Tavern on the Hill, located 5 minutes away at Treetops North, features a breakfast and lunch/dinner menu, and keeps relatively the same hours as the Pro Shop Beverages of all varieties are also available in the lounge of this beautiful clubhouse, which services the Threetops, Signature, Premier and Tradition Courses
