Maple Lane Golf Club is a 54 hole facility, centrally located for all Metro-Detroiters at 14 mile rd. near Van Dyke. Family owned and operated since 1927, Maple Lane is available for
tee times and walk ins, for 9, 18, or more. Three short, forgiving courses range from 5275 to 6024 yards and are all perfect for beginners and youth golfers. A friendly staff and
family atmosphere make for an enjoyable golf experience at Maple Lane.
Photos for this review were taken primarily on the North Course. Each course features one tee box. The West course plays to a total of 6024 yards with a slope of 105, North - 5713
yards / 108 slope, and the West - 5275 yards with a slope of 111. There are also teeing areas in the fairways on the longer holes for juniors and ladies who play from the forward
tees (yardages not available).
The Clubhouse amenities include an updated well stocked pro shop, full service bar with daily drink specials, locker rooms with showers, and plenty of space for outings and
banquets. New this year - Maple Lane now has a full service bag drop where golfers are greeted by a friendly staff member, Rangers and course assistants, and courses are now
color coded to make sure golfers do not skip around and end up on the wrong course.
From the tees, there is plenty of room and many par fours are reachable. Fairways are lightly tree lined, providing fair obstacles on errant shots. There is not much guarding the
front of the greens, providing bump and run opportunities on nearly every approach. There are nearly thirty sand bunkers on each course primarily located greenside. Water only
comes into play on the first three holes of the East course.
