Hickory Creek Golf Course (734) 454 1850
Michigan golf course review
Hickory Creek in Canton, Michigan is a beautiful 18-hole facility that is truly one of the sleeper courses in the metro Detroit area. At $45 prime time with cart on weekends - it is one
of the regions better values - we highly recommend a round here.
The course winds along a rolling terrain - more rolling than one would imagine for this area, with gently raised green complexes and several elevated tee areas. Most of the
fairways are bordered by dense tree lines or tall native grasses, and water hazards in the form of ponds or a meandering creek, come into play on 11 holes. Bunkering is
understated but strategic, with 28 sand traps greenside on along the fairways.
There are 3 sets of tees that play from distances and slopes measuring 6292 /131 slope, 6014 yards/129 slope, and 4892 yards with a slope of 118 from the red tees. There are
100, 150 and 200 yard markers on the fairways of all par fours and fives
The Clubhouse facilities include a pro shot plus restaurant and lounge. There is a grass range and practice green for putting and chipping. Though not overly long, Hickory Creek
packs some punch. The small greens are challenging targets, but land in regulation on the mildly sloping putting surfaces, and good scores can be had. Prior experience is a
good advantage here - especially on the holes that dogleg to the right or left.
The more you play here the easy it will be to score. For more info, visit our page fpor the course, with direct link to their website by CLICKING HERE.
