Golden Sands in Silver Lake is a 9-hole executive type layout situated just 2 minutes from the wonderful resort area and sand dunes of Silver Lake. The property features a
clubhouse with snack and dining area that features some of the best herb crusted pizza you will find up north! You can trust me on this one! They also have great burgers and
Philly cheese steak subs in their varied menu.
The golf facilities include a driving range and putting green - a nice amenity for those staying in area cottages and or visiting the resort area. Golden Sands also features a 5

On our early summer visit the golf course was in great shape, with relatively flat, quick paced greens. This is a family friendly layout with some variety, so golfers can occasionally
hit driver, while having ample opportunity to also work on their irons and short game. Water hazards come into play on 4 holes, and there are only 5 sand bunkers on the property.
There are 3 par threes, and 6 short par fours that range from 250 to 375 yards from the tips. There are 3 sets of tees that measure 1680, 2160 and 2409 yards. The course has
100, 150 and 200 yard markers on the par fours, and the green complexes are fairly level so no pin placement system is necessary. Some holes are tree lined, while others are
wide open. Carts are available but walking is also permitted.
This is a good value and great beginner's course. - and ideal for golfers who want to play a quick round before or after a visit to the Silver Lake recreation area. It also is a nice
warm up for some of the 18-hole courses in the region. The service is wonderful, and this family owned and operated facility is proud to offer a a unique experience. Highly
