Rouge Park was opened in 1923 and is the most interesting and challenging of the Detroit Park System courses. The par 72, 6,325 yard track was built on sloping, hilly terrain with a river flowing thru it and an abundance of wildlife including deer, turkeys, pheasant, hawks, heron, and many other birds. Rouge Park features the most difficult layout in the City and can be enjoyed by golfers of all skill levels.
The clubhouse amenities include a pro shop, a snack bar with sandwiches and beverages, and a covered patio with BBQ and picnic tables used for outings and banquets. Practice facilities include a Driving range that opens at 9 am and a practice green used for putting and chipping.
