Legacy Golf Club was designed by renowned golf course architect Arthur Hills from Sylvania and constructed by Rausch Construction from Texas on over 200 acres of semi-rolling farm land in the southwest corner of Monroe County. The outcome is a top notch public facility, complete with a beautiful timber framed clubhouse and banquet facility. The course has bent grass for the tees, greens, and fairways. Five lakes come into play, including hole number 8, the area's only island green.
The Legacy Golf Club has been designated one of the best new "affordable" courses in the U.S., 4-1/2 Stars and Top 200 Places to Play in the U.S. by Golf Digest. On property is a grass range and large putting green. The clubhouse features "Components Plus" offering golf clubs, apparel & more, and the 19th Hole Bar & Grill. Lessons are by Claire Batista (named one of the top 50 female instructors in the country by Golf for Women magazine). She will be offering golf schools this summer at her Golf Academy.
