The Blackshire was designed, by Kevin Aldridge, to create the look and feel of the famous Pine Valley CC in New Jersey. Cut through hardwoods and pines, the large sand waste areas along the fairways, trees and greens give the Blackshire a different look than the typical Northern Michigan course.
This is a classical walking experience, featuring short distances from greens to tees. The unique character of the Blackshire helps to provide Lakewood Shores Resort with 3 distinctive 18 hole championship courses, in a wonderful resort setting. Stay & Play packages with unlimited golf on all three courses! Click on the website link near the top of this page for more info. See the link to the TGWG pictorial review near the top of this page.
