Wolcott Mill is a Metro Park golf course - and a unit of the Huron-Clinton Metropolitan Authority. This facility
(which some may have known as Northbrook Golf Club) is one of 10 courses in the Metroparks system operating
in southeastern Michigan. This includes two par three layouts at Metro Beach and at Lower Huron, plus par 71 or
72 designs at Stoney Creek (Shelby Twp), Indian Springs (White Lake), Kensington (Milford), Huron Meadows

Wolcott Mill measures 6266 yards from the tips with a slope rating of 122. Alternate tees play to 5985 yards/117
slope and 5028 yards/115 slope. 100, 150 and 200 yard markers are located on the fairways on par fours and
fives, and color coded flags on the greens indicate the day's pin placement. There is a putting green on property,
and the clubhouse features a small pro shop plus snack bar with seating area plus patio, serving beverages and hot and cold sandwiches.
The course is very player-friendly, with wide landing zones along fairways that are at times tree lined and are
sometimes open. The green complexes can be easily reached, as nearby bunkers are often low lipped and non
-penal in nature. Low running approaches and bump and runs can be used efficiently here, making this a good
course for beginning and high-handicapped golfers. The terrain is quite level, and the putting surfaces are only
mildly sloped. There are some natural areas, which at times serve as buffers along the parallel fairways that dominate the course design.
As with all the other courses in the Metropark system, Wolcott Mill is well cared for. Do not expect manicured
tees & fairways and elaborate bunkering...but you can expect to get some change to put back in your wallet, as
prime time rates including cart topped out at $37 on weekends in 2005. Walking is allowed at all times. Senior
