The Pohlcat Golf Club in Mt Pleasant is 4-star (Golf Digest Places to Play) Dan Pohl design located just minutes
from the Soaring Eagle Casino, with golf packages available at the nearby Holiday Inn and Green Suites. This
par 72 championship layout features a rolling terrain that repeatedly traverses the Chippewa River, with water
coming into play on 14 holes. The par three 17th - which is one of the prettiest par threes in the state, and par four 2nd are pictured above.
Three sets of tees provide players with the option of playing from 6889, 6258 and 5140 yards, with a top
slope/course rating of 133/73.6. There are 56 sand bunkers located along the tree lined fairways and greenside,
with a mix of open and tight driving holes. The well conditioned putting surfaces are oversized with some devious
slopes and undulations. On course golfers will find indicators on the flag sticks for front, middle and back pin
placements, sprinkler heads that are measured to the center of the green, bird houses along the fairways at the 150 yard area, and 100, 150 and 200 yard markers.
Practice facilities include a spacious grass range, short game area for putting and bunker practice, plus 2
separate putting greens. Lessons are available as well as 1 to 5 day golf schools affording opportunities to work
on all aspects of the game. The beautiful log clubhouse features a fully stocked pro shop, restaurant/lounge with
gorgeous outdoor terrace, plus ample meeting/conference space along with great facilities for banquets, outings and special events.
The Pohlcat is a first rate golf experience - from holes one through 18. The facilities are also top notch, and the
service friendly and efficient. The Holiday Inn is a great place to stay for golfers and families, with indoor and
outdoor pools, gym, and children's play area. Green Suites is geared more towards golfers - with 4 bedroom
