Families can enjoy a full array of activities including a private beach on Cedar Lake - perfect for swimming, jet skiing, canoeing and fishing. Just minutes away are the beautiful beaches of Lake Huron. Fifty -four holes of championship golf provide a variety of experiences not found at many resorts in the Midwest.

The Gailes is a destination course, rated 4 1/2 stars by Golf Digest and touted as one of the most authentic Scottish seaside layouts in North America. Large double greens, meandering burns, sod-faced pot bunkers and long fescue grasses combine to create a truly unique round of golf. The Blackshire, also designed by Kevin Aldridge, recreates a classical rugged Pine Valley Golf Club experience, with hardwoods, large sand waste areas and undulating greens. The Serradella is a four-star resort course that was designed by Bruce Matthews and features a classical parkland layout with minimal hazards, wide fairways and large putting surfaces. Also on property are two large putting greens, plus a grass range and short game area with practice bunker. Individual and group lessons are available. A well-stocked pro shop features designer wear and golf accessories. *Note - walking is allowed on all Lakewood Shores courses at any time.

The "Wee Links" is a wonderfully conditioned short course with holes ranging from 50 to 105 yards in length. Small greens, bunkers, water hazards and high grasses dot the layout, providing a fun and interesting challenge - ideal for beginners, junior golfers, golf competitions, or for short game practice. Best of all, its use is free for all resort guests!

Golf is the main attraction here, and the Wee Links par three just outside your condominium door provides a golfing amenity unique to Michigan resorts. There is no starter, and no staring point. You may begin on the first hole, or simply walk out of your room and begin play on the hole nearest you. This is ideal practice on a well-kept layout, and is also perfect for a competitive or friendly "skins" game within your family or golfing party. Play a few holes or play all 18. Family members and children can enjoy casual play while serious golfers are out experiencing the unique challenges of 3 diversified championship layouts. This is also a great place to break in a beginner, or to teach the subtleties of the game, including golf course etiquette, to junior players.

DINING/MEETINGS/CONFERENCES

The main dining room is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner during the season, and also specializes in Sunday brunches during the off season (call for details).

The Scotland Cove features soups, salads and sandwiches - ideal for the turn on the Serradella or for between rounds, and the 19th Hole provides the full spectrum of beverges.

LINKS AND LOCATION

Oscoda is located on US 23 north of Tawas.

From Oscoda

Proceed north on 23 to the intersection at the Burger King. Turn left and follow for about 1/3 mile to Cedar Lake Road ( Irish pub on the corner). Turn right and follow for 4-5 miles to the clubhouse on the left. The condos are about 1/3 mile south, but check in is at the clubhouse.
