The Island Resort at the Legacy is the perfect location for family vacations, reunions and retreats, outdoorsmen, fishing enthusiasts, golfers, fraternal and religious organizations and wedding parties. On property are 20 fully furnished timber-framed cottages that are situated along a five-acre lake.

Nearby is the award winning Legacy Golf Club, which has been rated 4-1/2 stars out of five by Golf Digest Places to Play. Located just minutes from Toledo, Ohio, this is southern Michigan's newest corporate retreat and leisure resort.

GOLF AT THE LEGACY

The Legacy Golf Club features an Arthur Hills designed championship  layout that makes this resort a wonderful golf destination.  The course features mildly rolling terrain with a links flavor, high quality conditioning, and service and amenities that help the club to achieve the lofty golf rating. Golfers will find 5 sets of tees that play to wide manicured fairways, but sand bunkers and significant water hazards will challenge the abilities of all levels of players.

 An island green par three is one of the featured holes!  On property is a comprehensive practice facility with grass range, huge putting green and short game area, plus the Clare Batista Golf Academy with lessons and schools of various durations. A unique feature is the Gary Gray Golf Gazebo (pictured in the slide show) which afford stretching stations to guarantee a proper "warm up".

The beautiful clubhouse includes a fully stocked pro shop, outdoor "Tiki Bar", and a gorgeous restaurant/lounge that doubles as an outstanding place for banquets, weddings and special events.

ACCOMMODATIONS

Twenty timber framed cottages are located lakeside and are fully furnished with:
  • Kitchen including refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, utensils, dinnerware and cookware
  • Two bedrooms downstairs and a spacious loft above with bunk beds (linens provided)
  • Two full baths (linens provided
  • Fireplace
  • Two 25" color televisions (over 65 channels) and a VCR
  • Outdoor patio and charcoal grill plus picnic table
  • Four person outdoor Catalina Spa (operable year round)

The meeting facility at Island Resort is located adjacent to the indoor pool area, and is ideal for family Christmas parties, baby and bridal showers, retreats and other special events.  The meeting room can accommodate up to 65 people, and features state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment.

 Hot beverage service with coffee, hot tea and hot chocolate is complimentary.
